The "VICTORIA" is a partnership between Victor Garciglia Sandez, and his two longtime friends from the U.S. who have fished with Victor for 11 years. Steve Wiberg and Don Barry have come to the East Cape each of those eleven years, often accompanied by friends and family. Being in partnership with Victor on the "VICTORIA" fulfills a longtime dream of these lifelong friends, and reflects their love of the Sea of Cortez, and their interest in the world-class fishing there! Over the years, Steve and Don (and their boys) have caught fish ranging from 300 pound blue and 280 pound striped marlin, to sailfish, to 110 pound yellowfin tuna, to big dorado (58 pounds), to big bottom fish (pargo, which are red snapper), or amberjack, cabrilla (which are Baja grouper), and the tackle-sizzling roosterfish!

Victor has lived in La Ribera, Baja California Sur, Mexico his entire life, and has been fishing these waters since the age of 12, about 300 days each year! His personal fishing record has an amazing 98% success ratio.

The "VICTORIA" is a super panga. For those of you that do not know what a super panga is, it is a 25 foot boat, with an 8 foot beam, and a low fishing deck with fighting chair (stand up fishing can also be your choice). These boats are descendents of the original pangas fished by the locals for centuries, and they are built for the conditions of the Sea of Cortez, with a strong prow, and superb stability.

The "VICTORIA" is a totally new boat, just fitted and finished. It is outfitted with only the finest, totally new gear, including a Yamaha 100 h.p. outboard motor (4 stroke, environmentally friendly, quiet, dependable). Fishing gear is important, and we provide the best in rods, all with Penn International fishing reels. Outriggers allow us to present multiple lures and baits, to increase catch ratios. Safety is our first concern and the "VICTORIA" comes fully appointed with the latest brand new safety equipment, GPS, Depth sounder/fish finder, VHF radio, PFD's, etc. Additional comfort is provided by an on-board WC.
